this summer has really felt like a real summer. my co-workers are all about doing seasonal things in each season cuz we don't really have the 4 seasons here.
seattle was super nice last time. summer was out. work was going more smoothly. chatted up with the peeps there. each time i go now, i get to know the people there a little better. last weekend, we drove up to vancouver. the drive was beautiful. lots of trees. lots of photosynthesis going on. the city at first, it was nothing that i imagined. robson street is what i would imagine a slower hong kong shopping street is like. it felt very international. lots of different people, lots of languages. can someone tell me why there are so many koreans everywhere??? and why they continue to be annoying saying "OBBBBAA!" really loudly??? anyways, just outside of robson street, there are lots of wonderful things. we went on the capilano suspension bridge, drove around stanley park about 10 times, and went to granville island (which is a total misnomer cuz it's not an island - silly Canadians). it was all a lovely time.

then last weekend i went to the sd zoo. my favorite were the hippos who were just sleeping right on top of each other in the water. so cute! the pandas were cute, of course. there were cute bears everywhere sleeping. the meerkats were funny. lots of stuff to see. definitely a good summer thing to do.
